WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO LIVE HEALTHY?
As a Security Studies student, I study a lot about various risks to human life. I learn every day about conflicts, accidents, terrorist attacks or even climate change. However, it is striking that those are not the worst threats that humans really face.
Ischaemic heart disease, stroke, and cancer are the most PREVALENT causes of deaths around the world. They are the “Global Challenges” that we should tackle. They kill millions of people. It is not so likely that we are going to be victims of shooting as likely is that we are going to suffer from untimely death because of the state of our health.
